October Future Student Capture

At Capitol Beauty School, we are always excited to welcome the next generation of beauty. Our future students come to us with passion, creativity, and big dreams, ready to make their mark in the world of cosmetology and esthetics.

we're shining a spotlight on some amazing folks about to dive into the beauty world at Capitol Beauty School. These talented students aren't just here to learn – they're dreamers ready to make a big impact in cosmetology and esthetics.

What made you decide to pursue a career in the beauty industry?

“I started getting into beauty around 14-15 years old so I started practicing on myself and some friends. I never thought it would be a career choice, but I started to explore it and got really interested. I talked to my parents about doing something in the beauty industry and they were very supportive & it started to become a reality!” Camdyn O.

“I have always had a passion for doing nails, styling my hair and doing skincare. Cosmetology school interested me with all of the different opportunities I could pursue.” Madelyn R.

“I’ve always done my own hair and nails and have done it for other people since I was a kid. I've always loved fashion and beauty and seeing it all and being around it all as I got older made me just fall right into it.” Emilia G.

“I’ve always been passionate about helping people feel confident and express themselves, and the beauty industry is the perfect space to do that creatively. I love how makeup and skincare can transform not just appearances, but also self-esteem. It’s a way to empower others while doing something I genuinely enjoy.” Lauren J.

What made you decide on Capitol Beauty School?

“I toured Capitol spring of my sophomore year and instantly fell in love with it. I loved the atmosphere, the students that had taught trial and hair & the staff!” Camdyn O.

“I grew up in Omaha and have always heard amazing things about the program and I knew it would best prepare me for success.” Madelyn R.

“Capitol is where i’ve always gone, i don’t like the energy and vibes that the other salons give.” Emilia G

“I chose Capitol because it has a great reputation for helping students build strong foundations in both technical skills and creativity. The moment I visited, I felt inspired and motivated to start my journey there.” Lauren J.

What does your involvement look like in the industry now?

“I love to play around with makeup and skincare. I’m always buying new products to try and researching what is good for my skin and how to use different products! I’m currently trying to get an internship in the industry too!” Camdyn O.

“I started to do my own nails and then went onto doing other people's too. I own various hair treatments and enjoy experimenting with hair and makeup.” Madelyn R.

“Right now I haven't been doing much for cosmetology, but I've been telling everyone I'm starting to do that I can build something out of what I've always loved doing.” Emilia G.

“I’m currently building my skills and knowledge through training and practice, focusing on self-care and experimenting with different techniques. Even without clients yet, I stay passionate about the industry by learning and exploring new trends in my free time. It’s a journey I’m excited to be on.” Lauren J.

How do you plan to make an impact on people's lives when you begin school & move to the salon/spa?

“I hope to make people feel beautiful in their own skin. I want them to understand their skin and how to take care of it.” Camdyn O.

“I want people to not only feel comfortable with me but to also give them the best experience and results.” Madelyn R.

“I plan to show the people around me that cosmetology is a good career opportunity, but I also plan to let the people know that even though we do beauty things to increase the look, that they are still beautiful without the look.” Emilia G.

“I plan to make an impact by helping people feel confident and comfortable in their own skin through personalized care and attention. Whether at school or in the salon, I want to create a positive, welcoming space where clients leave feeling refreshed and empowered. Making someone’s day better through beauty is my goal.” Lauren J.

What inspires and motivates you?

“Seeing everyone else achieve their dreams makes me believe that I can achieve mine. Knowing people in the industry have had so much success shows me my dreams are possible.”

Camdyn O.

“I am motivated by the thought of helping people become confident in themselves.” Madelyn R.

“Mostly my bf and my friends and siblings, they all are so excited to see me try at something i would prefer doing rather than complaining about what I have to do.” Emilia G.

“I’m inspired by the creativity and confidence that beauty can bring to people’s lives. Seeing others feel good about themselves motivates me to keep learning and growing in this industry. Knowing I can make a positive difference keeps me driven every day.” Lauren J.

What are you looking forward to most when starting school?

“I’m excited for all the connections I will make through clients and classmates. I’m also looking forward to connecting with clients and making them feel good in their skin.” Camdyn O.

“I am looking forward to learning new skills and starting my dream.” Madelyn R.

“I’m most looking forward to learning all about the colors and how to do it the right way. I’m also looking forward to getting to see how cosmetology really works.” Emilia G.

“I’m most excited to dive into hands-on learning and start developing real skills that will prepare me for a career in beauty. I’m also looking forward to meeting new people who share my passion and learning from experienced instructors. The chance to explore my creativity and grow both personally and professionally feels really inspiring. Overall, I can’t wait to start this new chapter and see where it takes me!” Lauren J.
