What made you decide to pursue a career in the beauty industry?

“I’ve always had interest in everything having to do with beauty. I knew I wanted to have a career where I’m surrounded by that every day as well as a job where I have the chance to connect with people.” Carson

“I’ve always been around the beauty industry due to being in cheer since I was a kid but with being on the cheer team everyone wanted me to do their hair so it just became a passion of mine.” kaitlynn

“I have always been very involved in the arts and wanted a career where I could apply my creativity. I have also always had a passion for doing my own and my friends hair and makeup so I thought it was the perfect fit!” kierra

“I’ve always been passionate about skincare, and I decided life’s too short to not love what you do. So I’m moving forward into the world esthetics to help me gain more knowledge on skin and the beauty industry overall!” angela

What made you decide on Capitol Beauty School?

“I have talked to many people about their experiences at Capitol and they all had good things to say. I’ve seen the work that comes out of Capitol as well and thought it looked good.” Carson

“I toured a few but i just loved the environment of capitol when i walked in.” kaitlynn

“I looked at a few other schools, Capitol just drew me in better tgan the others. I love the family vibe it gives off and everyone I have talked to here has been so full of love and kindness!” kierra

“I did research on a couple of different schools in the area, and Capitol just seemed like a good fit. The esthetics program has so much to offer. I feel as though Capitol will help me to build a strong foundation for my career in esthetics.” angela

What does your involvement look like in the industry now?

“I currently work at The Hair Place as a receptionist and absolutely love it. My friends all ask me to do their hair for them so I get practice on styles and in fact am doing my future sister in laws’s hair for her wedding.” Carson

“I currently work at a tanning salon in my home town and before that a beauty store. I love learning new ways to do my hair and experimenting with different styles aswell.” kaitlynn

“I currently help with theater in for costumes and hair/makeup. Asside from that, I am the go to hairstylist if my friend group so I get plenty of practice!” kierra

“I’m currently married, have a 1 year old daughter, and 3 dogs. I work full time as a registered nurse. In my free time I enjoy being outside, hanging out with my family, and going to the gym to my relieve my stress!” angela

How do you plan to make an impact on people's lives when you begin school & move to the salon/spa?

“I want people to feel better about themselves and feel comfortable in the salon environment.” Carson

“I want to make people feel beautiful in their body and by being able to give them the hair they have always dreamed for.” kaitlynn

“I plan to be a motivational voice in the back of peoples lives. I do not plan on changing someones life over a haircut I do plan on helping them feel beautiful and comfortable in their own skin.” kierra

“I want to help people to feel confident in their own skin. I plan to achieve this goal by learning and growing my expertise in skincare. As we all know, the industry is ever changing and being educated on the best products and treatments is a must!” angela

What inspires and motivates you?

“The stylists I work with. They all are so positive about their work and I love seeing what they do and it inspires me to keep pursuing cosmetology.” Carson

“being able to make a change in people’s lives is what motivates me the most, i’m inspired by my cheer coach who had a passion for hair and made it a reality.” kaitlynn

“My family is my biggsst motivator. I have amazing parents that I never plan to let down along with my 6 older siblings. My yoinger siblings keep me pushing to stay as a good role model for them.” kierra

“I’ve always been passionate about skin care. Knowing that I am going into a career that I am passionate about is truly what motivates me.” angela

What are you looking forward to most when starting school?

“I’m excited to learn the techniques and tricks for hairstyling. It’s going to be interesting to see how to actually do hair and do it well. I’m especially excited to see my progress as I learn.” Carson

“I’m excited to see what i can do and learn new techniques to help me grow as a hairstylist.” kaitlynn

“I am looking forward to starting my "life." I am eager to learn more and have the ability to make people feel beautiful in their own skin.” kierra

“Getting a break from working in the hospital! I know that I will be busy with school. However, it will be refreshing to be busy in a much different setting!” angela
