Future Student Capture

At Capitol Beauty School, we are always excited to welcome the next generation of beauty. Our future students come to us with passion, creativity, and big dreams, ready to make their mark in the world of cosmetology and esthetics.

we're shining a spotlight on some amazing folks about to dive into the beauty world at Capitol Beauty School. These talented students aren't just here to learn – they're dreamers ready to make a big impact in cosmetology and esthetics.

What made you decide to pursue a career in the beauty industry?

“I was drawn to the beauty industry because it allows me to combine creativity with the ability to help people feel confident and empowered. I’ve always been passionate about self-expression and the transformative power of beauty. It’s incredibly fulfilling to make a positive impact on someone’s self-esteem.” Liv

“Ever since I was young, I’ve been stealing my mom’s makeup. Then, when I got my own set, I went wild. I experimented-trial and error. I’ve been dyeing and cutting my own hair for years, so it’s always been a path that I have wanted to go down.” Evey

“I am so excited to spend the rest of my life getting to make people feel more confident in themselves. It will be so rewarding getting to see the smile on their faces or be a listening ear for them during a service. Not a lot of people can say they will be doing what they love and having fun everyday which i believe i will be doing when I joint the beauty industry.” Lily

“I decided to pursue a career in the beauty industry because the little girl in me is finally fulfilling her dream, helping others feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. I've always loved the creativity, self-expression, and empowerment that come with beauty, and now I get to share that passion every day.” Kira

What made you decide on Capitol Beauty School?

“I chose Capitol because it has a great reputation and offers excellent hands-on training. It felt like the best place to build my skills and start my career in the beauty industry.” Liv

“I chose Capitol because I had a lot of family/friends go there. It also helped that they came to my high school for the Career Fair.” Evey

“I have had many people i know go to capitol and all i hear are great things. It’s a smaller class size with more teachers which gives me better learning opportunities. I also know that all the people in the building are incredible people who have our best interest in mind.” Lily

“I chose Capitol because when I visited, I felt genuinely welcomed, they took the time to get to know me instead of just trying to sell the school. I’ve heard from others that the instructors truly care about their students, and that supportive environment really stood out to me.” Kira

What does your involvement look like in the industry now?

“I’m involved in the beauty industry through work, self-care, and helping friends and family with their beauty needs. I stay updated on trends and enjoy experimenting with new techniques. It’s a mix of professional growth and doing what I love”. Liv

“Like I said above, I cut my own hair, have a 10 step skin care routine that I curated perfectly to fit my skin type, and over all I’ve had really good hygiene my whole life.” Evey

“You currently can catch me volunteering to do my friends hair and makeup happily.” Lily

“Right now, I make TikToks showing my skincare routine, and my friends are always asking me to do their makeup or help them find skincare products. I love playing around with makeup and fake nails on my family, and I even did my friend’s lashes for prom.” Kira

How do you plan to make an impact on people's lives when you begin school & move to the salon/spa?

“I plan to make an impact by helping people feel confident and beautiful through personalized care and attention. By creating a welcoming and uplifting experience, I want to make every client feel valued. My goal is to use my skills to inspire self-confidence and positivity in others.” Liv

“To make an impact, I want my clients and classmates to feel comfortable. Being able to talk, especially being together for hours each day is a huge goal of mine.” Evey

“I want to take extra classes and better my expertise for all kinds of hair. I would feel terrible having to turn away someone just based off the texture of their hair.” Lily

“I plan to make an impact by helping people feel confident and comfortable in their own skin, while building real relationships with my clients. I especially want to support single moms, teens struggling with acne, or anyone who just wants to feel pampered and cared for. Making others feel seen and beautiful means everything to me.” Kira

What inspires and motivates you?

“My motivation is success. I’ve wanted to become a part of the beauty industry for so long that success is the biggest goal I have now. My motivation is making my Mama proud. We’ve been through so much together and I know it makes her proud to see me pursuing my future.” Evey

“I think what inspires me is getting to do what i love as a full time job. It’s so exciting to know that i will be helping people with their confidence and make everyone feel beautiful.” Lily

“My passion for beauty and helping people who are struggling to find confidence is what truly inspires me. I love being able to lift others up and make them feel good about themselves through self-care and personal connections.” Kira

What are you looking forward to most when starting school?

“Starting school, I’m excited to learn more about different skin types and hair textures. Everyone is different, so that’s what makes this industry so unique. You get to learn and experience so much.” Evey

“I am so excited to meet my fellow classmates and new people in school. I also can not wait to start doing my friends and families hair seriously. I’m most excited to start learning new techniques, styles, and colors for my future.” Lily

“I’m most looking forward to learning everything hands-on and finally getting to do what I love every day. I can’t wait to grow my skills, meet new people who share the same passion, and start building real experience. I’m excited to step out of my comfort zone and become more confident in myself and my work. Most of all, I’m just ready to start this new chapter and chase my dream.” Kira

Celebrating Izzy: Our 3rd Quarter Trial & Hair Scholarship Recipient

We’re excited to highlight Izzy as the recipient of Capitol Beauty School’s 3rd Quarter Trial & Hair Scholarship. Having started her cosmetology journey this past May, Izzy is already diving into the hands-on learning experiences that define our programs.

As part of the Trial & Hair event, Izzy participated in both the hair and skin sessions—each one fueling her passion and reinforcing her decision to pursue cosmetology.

In the hair session, Izzy practiced creating an updo on a mannequin, describing the moment as surreal. For her, it marked a turning point: realizing that soon those mannequins will be replaced with real clients, and the work she does will have the power to truly make someone feel incredible.

During the skin session, she observed a live demonstration of a full face wax—performed by an esthetics student on a cosmetology student. What stood out most to her was the collaboration between the two programs, showcasing the kind of cross-training and support that make our learning environment unique. As a current freshman, Izzy found it inspiring and can’t wait to build those same connections and skills with her classmates.

Izzy’s commitment, energy, and eagerness to learn make her a standout member of our student body. We’re proud to have her at Capitol and excited to watch her grow in the industry.

Congratulations, Izzy!
