Hi, I’m Karla! I started working at Capitol in 2025 as the receptionist, but Capitol has always felt like home to me since I’m also a proud graduate. I love that I get to work at the school I went to and continue being around such amazing people every day.

I was born and raised in Chicago but have been in Omaha for the past 12 years after moving here for my family’s business. When I’m not at Capitol, you can usually find me in my own suite doing hair, out in nature with my dogs, going for a run, or getting lost in a good book.

Working at Capitol allows me to stay connected to the industry I love while supporting students as they chase their dreams, just like I once did.
